The unabated waves of giggles, joy and laughter ,
Entwined with screams, holler, breath-holding spells together,
Notwithstanding scolding for late coming from play ,
Extended sleep-time keeping the morning alarm at bay,
Rushing for school bus, overweight bags, prattling with friends,
Soon swept by the resonance of college hostel , not to defend
Life , pacing up with new challenge, little one is now grown up,
Career goals , busy schedules, work continues to pileup,
Flipping through old albums bygone days , so far the best,
Tears trickle down , ageing parents, reminiscing in their empty nest!
