Sprinkling joy, love , happiness around, loads of good luck,

The first day of Bengali calendar marked by a grandeur start, 

Deluge of hope , prosperity scourging all darkness apart,

Attired in new dress, 'Punjabi ' or a red-bordered  white 'Saree',

Bong community  all set for the festivities , making them free,

From the trammels  of  daily life , ensuing a better tomorrow,

Touching elders' feet seeking their blessings to bestow , 

Upon us , their care, affection even in lip-smacking cuisine,

'Probhat Feri' taking rounds of  neighborhood assertively reverberating ,

Vibrant tunes welcoming the change , positivity, happiness abound,

Essence of 'Mishti Doi' making it more fulfilling , Bong life astound !
